Fatima Scipio is a dedicated advocate for empowerment and change. With a career spanning over two decades, Fatima's journey began in the heart of the Bronx, where she discovered the joy of childhood activities like Double Dutch, dance, and a love for books that sparked her curiosity and imagination.
Her educational path led her to Virginia State University, where she earned a BS in Sociology, and later to Hunter College in New York City, where she obtained her MS in Urban Affairs. Fatima's career began as a teacher's assistant in the South Bronx, eventually leading to roles in education, state government, and nonprofit management.
At the core of her mission is the belief in empowering young people, which led her to become the CEO of Young Enterprising Sisters, an online resource for girls ages 8-17. Through lectures, panel discussions, and her resonating message that 'anything is possible if you just believe,' Fatima inspires change and growth.
Fatima is not only an author with titles like 'First Aid for First Year Teachers' and 'Boss Lady (Seven Life Principles to Reign in the New Economy),' but she also serves as the CEO of Brave Girl Media Group, showcasing her multifaceted leadership.
Her commitment to making a difference has earned her numerous awards, including nominations as a Change Maker for the United State of Women and as a White House Champion for Change during The Obama Administration.
Fatima's academic background is with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Virginia State University and a Master of Science degree in urban affairs from Hunter College. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, reflecting her dedication to community and service.
Fatima resides in New Jersey with her husband and son.
